Bill of Rights: Amendments I - IO
Amendment I
The 1st Amendment covers our basic five freedoms. One of those freedoms is that Congress can't make a law favoriting or banning the practice of any religion. Another freedom is the freedom of speech and press; where Congress can't pass a law to prohibit one's right to speak, publish, or express your opinions. We are also given the right to assembly and petition;the right to join with other people in group meetings in public. These rights are given to us and protected by the Constitution.

Amendment II
In the 2nd Amendment only one right is covered; the right to bear arms. It gives each state the right to keep bear arms, to maintain a well militia. The right to bear arms will not be taken away or violated.
Amendment IV
The 4th Amendment covers the rights of citizens against unreasonable searches and seizures. This amendment protects the people's houses, papers, and the right to their privacy. Nothing will come against that right not even a warrant, unless under certain circumstances where a warrant is needed describing exactly what needs to be searched and it's supported by his oath and affirmation.
Amendment V
The 5th Amendment covers trial by jury, double jeopardy, and self incrimination. This amendment states that a person can't be tried for a crime without being accused by a jury. That a person can't be tried for the same crime twice and that a person can't be forced to answer any questions during a interrogation that may lead the person to their own persecution.

Amendment VI
The 6th Amendment covers criminal proceedings. This amendment states that a person has the right to a fair opportunity to be tried in court with a jury. The person accused has to be told about the charge he/shes is being tried for before going on trial. The person also has a right to be defended or represented by an attorney.
Amendment VII
The 7th Amendment covers civil trials. This amendment is really only for civil cases heard in federal courts. Also all people have the right to a fair trial by jury and a case already presented can't be reexamined in any other court.
Amendment VIII
The 8th Amendment covers the punishments for crimes. This amendment states that the bail sum must be equal to the crime that the person is being accused of; therefore no excessive bail or fines will be given. Also the person being accused has the right to be protected from any cruel or unusual punishment.

Amendment IX
The 9th Amendment covers the rights that were not mentioned in the Constitution. This amendment states that single unmentioned rights in the Constitution are still protected and secured for people.
